Improving Academic Achievement Through Art.

Extracurricular art lessons are shown to enrich a student's entire education, from literature to math. Art helps stimulate creativity, grasp abstract ideas, and conceptualize thoughts into output with a unique and thoughtful point of view.

Angela, Parent, 16:

"Since starting classes at Chestnut Hill Art Academy, I noticed an improvement in my daughters natural curiosity towards her surroundings. Between arts lessons she became more attentive and concentrated in school and at home."

K12 and Continuing Curriculum

Students are welcome without any prior arts experience. We begin by learning fundamentals of shape and color, then build on that using each student's unique attitude and experience to uncover their individual artistic style.

My art lesson is the best part of the week! Every time I feel like I'm making something new and exciting. I love thinking through ideas for new paintings.

Other plein air activities include outdoors painting, history and culture tours to contextualize the study of art.

I know I would not have made it into RISD and MassArt without Marina's coaching and preparation.
